It is a minor modified version of the 9M723-1 ballistic missile, omitting the 9B899 penetration aids, and incorporating 'Kometa' arrays as part of its guidance system. This was reported in a bulletin by Fenix Insight in September 2026. |

Despite not being jet-powered, it is capable of reaching speeds well exceeding that of similar propeller-driven OWA-UAVs, making them hard to intercept. |

It is part of a series of new electronic fuzes being developed and deployed by the Russian armed forces in Ukraine in an effort to copy the success of the Ukrainian Johnny and Verba series of programmable, multi-sensor fuzes, as well as improve upon older Russian/Soviet designs. The DTsM-1 LA60 was initially reported in a bulletin by Fenix Insight in July 2025, with a further update reported in September 2026. |
