Russian forces have allegedly begun dropping 3D-printed anti-personnel (AP) mines from uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs)

  • Russian forces have allegedly begun dropping 3D-printed anti-personnel (AP) mines from uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs)

  • The designation of these mines are not known

  • They are pressure-initiated mines, with a plastic high explosive fill, electric detonator, battery and initiation circuit

  • Images to the right show the outer and inner design, but there are reports of other models being deployed

  • This mine was covered in tape possibly to assist with camouflage in grass, or provide additional structural integrity when dropping from a UAV

  • 3D-printed AP mines with simple designs could allow for easy mass manufacture and deployment
