Ukraine is producing shortened versions of the Soviet-era developed PTM-3 anti-tank mine (see left hand image with PTM-3 for scale)

  • Ukraine is producing shortened versions of the Soviet-era developed PTM-3 anti-tank mine (see left hand image with PTM-3 for scale)

  • The designation is currently unknown

  • The mines are shown to be filled with a TNT composition, taken from hand grenades (see right hand image)

  • It is reported that the “Johnny” series of fuzes are fitted, in place of the typical VT-06 fuze

  • The mines have a single point of initiation, which will degrade the performance compared to the dual-end initiation of the original PTM-3
