Ukrainian explosively formed projectile (EFP) warhead for a one way attack (OWA) uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV).

  • Current designation unknown​

  • Designed to counter cope cages by negating stand-off effect​

  • Reported to penetrate 50 mm armour at 1 m stand-off, followed by a 16 mm plate (approx. 100 mm behind), and deform a third 16 mm plate​

  • Warhead casing appears to be aluminium so limited fragmentation effect unless additional pre-formed fragmentation sleeve used​

  • Currently still in warhead testing phase without introduction to UAV, but mention of Backfire UAV in the news article​
