A POM-3 anti-personnel mine detonated during clearance operations in Shebekino, Russia
The warhead was projected at an angle to approximately 1 m (above waist height), however this likely would have been higher if projected directly vertical
A video shows reported injuries to a member of the clearance team with numerous small impacts, predominantly at chest and neck height. The bleeding appears limited but massive internal damage is to be expected.
It is unclear how many were injured or killed as reports vary, however given knowledge of the warhead capabilities, it is likely that multiple personnel were struck by fragments and that survivability of all personnel would be low
