A transfer tube connects to the flash receptor on the MVDM (Ru: МВДМ) fuze of the PTM-1
The end of this tube incorporates a pull-cord activated ignitor, comparable to the URP (Ru: УРП)
A safety ring-pin is connected to the UAV, with the pin removed as the UAV deploys the mine, initiating the ignitor
The PTM-1 arming process is as standard once the flash receptor is ignited
The mines are camouflaged which greatly reduces their visual detectability
Sources report PTM-1G variant with 'Johnny' programmable electronic fuzes, likely in place of the MVDM-G, may also be used
