A Russian UMPK guidance kit has been found on a crashed RBK-500 dispenser model in Ukraine.
The UMPK gliding guidance kit enhances the range and accuracy of air-dropped bombs, through a GNSS guided, winged assembly. This kit is compatible with a wide range of Russian bombs.
It features a ‘Comet’ (Ru: Комета) 8-beam antenna which is reported to have a high resistance to electronic warfare (EW) as it can simultaneously neutralise 7 interference sources.
Reported interest in incorporating into Geran/Shahed one-way attack uncrewed aerial vehicles (OWA-UAV).
