  • Bulgarian RHV-HEF 30 mm grenade projectiles have been modified by Ukrainian forces for deployment by uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs)

  • The grenade looks to be modified to drop upside down, with three ground spikes to secure it in the ground, and a deployable fin assembly to stabilize during flight, screwed into the fuze well at the top

  • The AF35 fuze has been replaced with an improvised electronic fuze

  • The electronic fuze appears uses an optical sensor, either thermal or photodiode, to activate and/or detect personnel

  • There may be a further magnetic or similar proximity function, in a similar design to the “Johnny” [Ukr: Джонні] programmable fuzes)
