A cache of rockets have been reportedly discovered in Gaza
The exact calibre was not initially known, but was estimated to be 57mm
The rocket's designation was unknown, but they appeared to be similar to the 57 mm S-5 air-launched rockets
S-5 type rockets have been used extensively by Hamas in Gaza, using improvised man-portable and vehicle-mounted launchers
The high manufacturing quality of the rocket, fuze cap and fin sleeve indicate that these may be factory-produced and supplied to Hamas by a friendly state
These were later discovered to be 80 mm Syrian M-80 surface-launched rockets
The M-80 rockets are electrically-initiated from the rear, with spring-loaded fins that are shorter than the standard S-5
