A new Russian magnetic influence (MI) fuze, called Shapoklyak (Ru – Шапокляк, translation – ‘opera hat’) has reportedly been developed
This appears to be copied from the Ukrainian ‘Johnny/Dzhonik’(Ukr: Джонні) series fuzes, which are programmable and can feature MI, accelerometers and light sensors
It is currently unknown whether the Shapoklyak features any capabilities beyond MI detection
We send out new Bulletins via email, directly to our METIS enterprise-level users and publish them on our Blog the following week. To receive these directly to your inbox as soon as they're released, please contact us about upgrading your account.
