The Kh-101 warhead contains a ring of sealed cylindrical units, these are to provide an incendiary effect​.

  • The units are designated ГЭ30М​

  • The incendiary units are confirmed to be located at the rear of the warhead, they may also be present elsewhere​

  • The units are hermetically sealed without their own fuzing, their initiation is via the warhead detonation​

  • They may be pyrophoric in nature, hence the hermetic seal​
