A recent video has shown Iranian M48 120 mm high explosive (HE) mortar bombs being used by Hezbollah against Israeli Defence Force (IDF) positions
Proximity fuzes were fitted for an airburst effect
The designation of these fuzes is currently unknown, however they may be related to the Chinese MD-21 RF proximity fuze, which provides an airburst height of roughly 5-8 m
Their likeness to examples seen in previous imagery suggests that the fuzes may have been supplied by Iran
